Jack Dale Roark

U.S. Veteran

Jackie Dale Roark, 79, of Lake Timberline of Bonne Terre, MO., formerly of Cahokia, IL., born July 3, 1933 in Jefferson City, MO., died Sunday July 15, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Festus, MO.

Jackie was retired from Spectrulite Consortium of Granite City, IL. He was U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and former member for 34 years of St. Catherine Labourne Catholic Church of Cahokia, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Roark; brothers, Warren, Robert, and Billy Roark; his sisters, Freida Colter and Wilma Hardin; a granddaughter, Amy Lynn Hardin.

Surviving are his wife, M. Joan Roark, nee Weinzerl; his children, Robin (Phil) Fox of Fairview Heights, IL., Michael Roark of Cahokia, IL., Cindy Foster of Columbia, IL. and Christopher Roark of Bonne Terre, MO.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Visitation on Monday July 16, 2012 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, IL. from 4 to 8 P.M.

Funeral service on Tuesday 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Father Paul Wienhoff officiating. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
